Have you ever had one of those days when every thing that COULD go wrong did? Well welcome to the club! I think we have all lived through those! While at a church prayer meeting, last night, I noticed my phone was vibrating and took a peek to see who was calling. I saw six missed calls, my parents, my children, my aunt, I couldn't imagine what had happened. I quickly left the meeting and found a room where I could talk without disturbing the pray-ers. We had been hearing a massive storm sweep over the church, thunder and lightening and the rain, which seemed to be sweeping back and forth across the roof the way you would use a pressure washer. Meanwhile back at home, the storm hit, the power went out and I was the one everyone wanted at home. I got here at quickly as possible and the sight I saw on turning into my driveway gave me mixed emotions, one was that I was happy to see my house standing without being covered by the massive trees surrounding it, the other was horror at all the limbs and debris covering my driveway! I got out of the car and tried to drag one huge limb out of the way so I could drive in, mission accomplished, not easily, but done. No need to describe the mayhem of dogs and children and aged parents all trying to see, stay cool, find candles and tell everything that had happend, all at once! Thank God that my house, which is officially protected under the Psalm 91 clause of the Bible, was safe, if hot, and today at 1 pm as I stood in my great room, the fans, so still all night, began to whirl! I sent up a praise shout and heard one coming from my dad, who without power is trapped on the third floor of this house! With AC  on, moods became better and peace was restored. As I was getting ready for bed, about 2 hours ago, my kids, returning from seeing Ringo Starr at Chastain, came up the outside stairs and informed me that the elevator was broken! Let me remind you that my 92 year old dad is trapped on the third floor of this house unless that elevator is operating properly! Panic stricken, Saturday night, how was I going to tell Daddy that he couldn't go to church, or eat lunch with the family tomorrow! I prayed, I called an emergency number, and the usually slow process of getting anything done comes under the category of supernatural intervention! The operator, who is located in Dallas, Texas, called a supervisor, here in Atlanta, who contacted an over-time technician, who was on his way home from another call on I-20 and was right at the exit he needed to be exit to come to my home! He was here with-in 15 minutes of the emergency call! I told him that he might look like a man, but I knew God sent him as an angel to help us, again under the Psalm 91 clause! He left here a few moments ago, elevator up and running, everyone can now settle down and go to sleep, about time at 1:07 AM!  Moments before the elevator saga began, someone that needed a Word from the Lord had text messaged me asking for a Word and prayer. God did give me a timely Word and Psalm 91. She responded that she received it, it had helped and she felt so much better, praise God! Two things were, again, proved to me; Matthew 6:8 for your Father knows what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. and Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. Neither of these things are new to me, I have always known that He knows my needs and that His angels guard my life, but it was nice to be reminded in such a dramactic way! I am very grateful that He knows me and cares for me, and He feels the same for YOU! Be blessed, read Psalm 91, again!
