Matthew 7:7Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Jeremiah 33:3 (New Living Translation) Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. When I was nine months old my mother put me on pillows with blankets down in the floor board of the back seat of their two door, candy apple red Pontiac. Daddy was to hold a revival in Ohio and they left Greenville, SC in a cold drizzling rain heading over the Mountains of West Virginia in order to arrive in time for the service. It was middle of the night, no other cars on that road that was winding higher and higher into the fog making visibility near impossible. They were tired from a long day, and sleepy. As the rain started to come down and the wind shield wipers kept a steady beat, daddy’s eyes became heavy and he nodded off, mother already asleep, I was quietly asleep in the back. In the dark night rain, now pouring, our car crashed head on into the abutment of a bridge built high over rapidly running water. When he regained consciousness, realizing that he was very hurt, he looked at mother slumped under the dash and me lying in the glass of the windshield on the hood of the car, where I was thrown by the impact. The door was jammed and with his powerful arms and all the strength he had, he shoved the door open and retrieved me from my glassy bed on the hood. He held me against his bloody chest, my head cut front to back I was bleeding and he couldn’t tell how bad I was hurt and mother, unconscious with her mouth smashed and bleeding, he did not know what to do. Alone and injured, wife and child hurt…he raised his battered arm to heaven and began to pray. He asked God to help us and to send help…he could tell that he was about to lose consciousness, his vision was leaving...but as he prayed his vision began to return and he felt strengthened. From out of nowhere an ambulance arrived and a tall young man dressed all in white suddenly appeared and took me from his arms. We were taken to the hospital in Logan, West Virginia and the next day there was an obituary for three people killed when their car struck a bridge on a lonely stretch of mountain road. That car crash started them on a new path, a new ministry, had they traveled on to Ohio their life might have taken a turn that would not have led them to Atlanta, our home. As they were recovering, people began to call my grandparents, in Greenville, asking if anything had happened to us! Many of them said they had been awakened at around 2 AM with the Spirit impressing them to pray for Harry Mushegan’s family…many of them said the same thing, “God woke me and told me to pray for you!” God needs to be invited into our space so that He can help us, answer our deepest needs. I have heard of mother's who prayed for their child who was in danger during combat and were saved alive because their mom woke hearing them call out for prayer! God impressed me to tell this story, which has been told many times before, tonight. It never gets old to me and I can still show you the scar on my head! Call unto God, He will show you GREAT and mighty things that you do not know! Call on Him, ask someone to agree with you in prayer, I will!

Be blessed!
